Handball: A rising sport?

It seems that a year ago this sport wasn't even popular to CSA students but it suddenly bloomed out of nowhere. There was actually a handball club last year (A.Y 2014-2015) but it was not as popular as it was today. I was part of that Handball club and if my memory serves me right I think it's the first Handball club that was made in CSA. I don't know with my other teammates but I didn't really intend to play the sport seriously since I really wanted to be part of the football club but sadly there were no more slots left for me and that's why I went to Handball club since I really like sports and I just wanted to try out new things. The sport was really unique to us (Handball members) since we barely know about it and it's not really talked about in the school or even the news.

I had a small experience about the sport and it's a like a combination of futsal and basketball. In my opinion, it's actually a great sport but it's just really under rated in the Philippines and since a lot of Filipinos are into basketball, even if Handball was talked about i feel that basketball would still overcome handball based on the people's interest.

It's great to see that Handball suddenly bloomed Colegio San Agustin- Makati since it's great to see a new generation of sport starting from a small community. They hosted try-outs for it and a lot of boys actually tried it and based from what I hear from my friends that got in the club, they actually really like it and the opportunities are imaginable. The Handball U17 boys team might actually go to Sweden and Brazil and it's so surprising since they've only been playing for a while and suddenly they get an opportunity to play International. If this will be pushed through then let's hope they will bring back the bacon with pride and safety. Good luck CSA Handball U17 boys!

Does it Matter?

By Kim Chung Beom

 Christmas is almost here!
Finally Starbucks' annual holiday cup is here! It is a tradition for Starbucks to make their paper cups red with fancy Christmas doodles around the cups but it was different this year.
It was red.
Just red.
Nothing but red.
Maybe a little bit of a gradient feel.
People in social media went crazy about the PLAIN RED cup. One man in Facebook said Starbucks wanted to remove Christ out of Christmas because all those symbols represent the Christmas vibe. One woman in YouTube said that it was a 'satan cup'.

Am i the only one who disagrees with all those 'theories' of the new Starbucks cup? A gradient red looks good to me or maybe its Starbucks secret marketing strategy to get into people's conversation but through social media people found a way to protest against this. People were asked to name their cups 'Marry Christmas' when ever they order a drink from Starbucks.

Lets not overthink about the red cup. All we need is a tasty beverage. Its not like the cup is the only thing that will complete our Christmas vibe.

TERROR IN FRANCE, PARIS LEAVE AT LEAST 120 DEAD PEOPLE

Do you remember the incident that happened in Paris at Janurary. 9, 2015 by Quachi brothers? This terror killed 4 hostage and 3 criminals. The whole world was shocked and we were deep in tragedy. After this chaos, almost more than 10 months have passed, and this tragedy occurred again in France, Paris at November. 13, 2015. At 9 pm. Concert started in Bataclan theater in Paris' 11th arrondissement by famous american rock band named "eagles of death metal". There were around 1,500 audience and most of them were 20-30 years old and teenagers. After the concert has started around 45 minutes there was a large bang sound for three times. At first, people did not take it seriously because they thought it was a fire work but some people knew it was a terror. They found 3 suspicious looking men with a machine gun. It was a appalling moment which turned a peaceful concert into a bloody concert leaving around 89 dead people.

According to the AFP news and english guardian newspaper "Based on the testimony of and eyewitness one of the terrorist said "Allah is almighty, for the Syria!" and also said "You have killed our brother's in Syria and that is why we came here". They killed people who tried to call or who caught their attention. During the interview on of the survivor said that " I was in the bath room and when I just came out of the bath room one guys was holding a gun towards me then asked if I believe in God." He said that he is from Chile and he believes in God, then the terrorist did not kill him and let him go.

Brutal gun shooting happened in 3 restaurants then there was a massive bomb explosion. More than 1,000 citizens or tourists who were watching foot ball game or concert were hostage by the terrorists. The death toll in attacks across 6 sites in Paris could exceed 130, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins said on French television early Saturday. Among the total of 130 people around 100 people are known to be dead. According to "Now This" page in Facebook, several explosions were reported outside a football stadium during the France-Germany game. And now people are tweeting #PROTEOUVERTE which means "OPEN YOUR DOORS". Offering shelter to those who need a safe place.
